René Timmermans is a freelance travel photographer, specializing in People, Culture, Nature and Landscape photography around the world.

Although he is born and raised in the Netherlands René is currently based in Stockholm, Sweden. He is available for assignments.

"At the age of 12 I was introduced to photography by my father, who taught me the basic photography skills on a simple Agfa cassette camera.

In later years, the National Geographic magazine and the World Press Photo images inspired me to focus on world photography.

My photographic intentions are to capture the beauty of the world by photographing the people and the environment they live in."
